It all started over a family dinner at Grandma and Grandad's house. We were chatting about school when my daughter, Esme, mentioned she was reading Animal Farm. She wasn't vibing with it - at all. The plot felt confusing. The message? Kinda fuzzy.
Then Mum pulled a vintage copy of Jane Eyre from the bookshelf, hoping to spark some literary inspiration. Esme gave it a go... but the old-school language was very much "what is even happening?" energy.
That's when I joked:
"Wouldn't it be easier if someone just rewrote these books in Gen Z slang?"
And then the lightbulb moment hit.
The Mission
To make literature feel alive again - not dusty, not distant, but loud, relatable, and proudly ridiculous.
Because if Shakespeare had TikTok, he'd absolutely be posting thirst traps with sonnets.

Dedicated to My Two Amazing Kids
This website is lovingly dedicated to my son, Theo, and my daughter, Esme. They've been through a tough time recently, and creating Pookie Vibes was my way of showing them that even when life gets messy, we still have the power to turn things around - with creativity, resilience, and a little bit of humour.
I wanted to build something that would make them proud. Something that says: no matter what life throws your way, you can overcome it - with perseverance, heart, and your own kind of vibe.
Theo and Esme, I am endlessly proud of you both.
